What is the Officiants availability for your:
| Date | Locations | Meetings |
Is the Officiant available for a rehearsal date and time?
Is there an additional charge for attendance at rehearsal, and if so, how much?
This is why we request a booking fee.
By accepting this fee we are locking in your date(s) and times for you only.
We block at least 2 hours for each ceremony or rehearsal plus an allowance for travel.
Whether your wedding is formal or informal, if you are having attendants in your wedding party,
a rehearsal sometime before your ceremony allows them to feel more confident during the actual ceremony.
Your attendants want to shine at your wedding, and make you proud of them.
Frequently, attendants have not participated in a wedding ceremony before, and may have questions about their roles.
An opportunity to ask those questions and practice walking down the aisle will greatly increase their confidence
at your ceremony.
A rehearsal also allows for last minute configuration changes to work out any bugs.
For example, the flower girl may not want to walk down the aisle alone.
The rehearsal will allow you an opportunity to discover this fact, and make changes like having mom present
or close by.
A rehearsal usually takes about an hour or less to run through twice.
The value in added confidence of your wedding party and a smoother ceremony most often will offset any additional cost.
Find out where your Officiant is located, and then ask if the Officiant is willing to travel to your ceremony
and rehearsal location(s)?
This will be determined usually at the complimentary get acquainted meeting.
After all, if for some reason we would not be able to travel to your ceremony,
we would not accept your booking.
Allowed distances and rates are listed on our
Fees, Payments, Discounts page.
If a considerable distance is involved, or travel is through a heavy traffic area,
ask about additional fees for travel mileage and time.
Does the Officiant offer an initial get acquainted meeting?
If so, is it complimentary, or is there a fee?
In fact we recommend and offer a complimentary get acquainted meeting.
Remember, this is your day, you will be working closely with your Officiant, and you will want
to feel comfortable with that person and confident they will represent your wishes at your wedding.
Our Just the Basics Ceremony
may be the exception.
If time and schedules (yours and ours) allow, a brief get acquainted meeting is great.
Be sure to inquire whether or not the initial meeting is complimentary so you do not face an
unpleasant, unexpected charge for the meeting.
If these meetings are not complimentary, they can become expensive.
Most Officiants will offer a complimentary, get acquainted meeting, and start to plan your
ceremony if you both like each other.
Remember, you will be working closely with your Officiant, and you will want to feel comfortable
with that person and confident they will represent your wishes at your wedding.
